What's the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static QR code holds your content directly: it works forever, but can't change or be tracked. A dynamic QR code holds a short Reco.to link: you change its destination whenever you want and track its scans.
Can I change the content after printing?
Not with a static QR code: its content is written into the image. A dynamic QR code, created with a free account, points to a short link whose destination you can change at any time, without reprinting.
Do QR codes expire?
No. A static QR code made here works forever. A dynamic QR code works as long as your account is active.
Is there a scan limit?
No. Your QR codes can be scanned as many times as needed.
Can I use these QR codes commercially?

PNG or SVG: which format should I choose?
PNG works for screens and documents. SVG is a vector format: it stays sharp at any size, which makes it ideal for print.
What should I check before printing?
Print the QR code at least 2 cm wide, keep a white margin around it, use a light background and a dark code, then test it with two different phones. For your printer, prefer SVG.
How do I scan a QR code? Do I need an app?
No. On iPhone and most Android phones, open the camera and point it at the QR code: a link appears on screen. On some older Android phones, use Google Lens.
Why isn't my QR code working?
Usually it's printed too small, lacks contrast, its white margin was trimmed, or the encoded link has a typo. Check the content in the generator and test before printing. With a dynamic QR code, a wrong link can be fixed without reprinting.

No. The QR code is generated on the fly and isn't stored on our servers.
